Do you know of a vital community-based project happening in our service area? It might be a perfect candidate for a Community Grant up to $5,000, thanks to a partnership between Pioneer Connect and The Foundation for Rural Service.
This program identifies and supports vital projects that build and sustain high quality of life in our communities from the Mid-Willamette Valley to the Central Oregon Coast. The four eligible categories include: Business and Economic Development, Community Development, Education and Telecommunications Applications.
Applicants can submit grant requests ranging from $250 to $5,000. If selected, funding will come from The Foundation for Rural Service and Pioneer Connect, which will sponsor the application. Applications must be received to Pioneer before Sept. 1, 2021, at 4:30 p.m. Winners will be announced in late 2021.
This program allows community projects to receive vital funding and appreciation on a national stage, especially as the pandemic has reshaped and altered day-to-day life. As communities in our service area strive for new growth and recovery, this opportunity has never been more important. We’re eager to give back to the area we have called home for 70+ years — community has always been at the heart of our mission as a Cooperative.
The application is now open and accepting applications. For more information and to apply, visit: pioneer.net/community-grant.
