Pioneer Scholarships
Pioneer Connect is proud to offer scholarships to young people in our community pursuing higher education. Students are welcome to consider applying for the Academic Scholarship or our Community College Scholarship (though, you cannot apply for both in a single year).

Pioneer Connect Academic Scholarship
Pioneer Connect is proud to support students in our community who are pursuing higher education. The Academic Scholarship is designed for those planning to attend or currently enrolled in a two or four year university or technical vocational school. Students are welcome to consider applying for the Academic Scholarship or our Community College Scholarship (though, you cannot apply for both in a single year).
The Pioneer Connect Academic Scholarship is a scholarship designed for students beginning or continuing education in an undergraduate program at a two – or four-year university or technical vocational school.
Community College Scholarship
Pioneer Connect is proud to support local students pursuing higher education close to home. The Community College Scholarship is available to those beginning or continuing their studies at one of three local community colleges. Students are welcome to consider applying for the Academic Scholarship or our Community College Scholarship (though, you cannot apply for both in a single year).
FRS Scholarship
Pioneer Connect is proud to partner with the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) to support students from rural communities who are pursuing higher education. The FRS Scholarship helps graduating seniors attending their first year of college, university, or vocational-technical school achieve their goals while strengthening the future of rural America.
Applicants must be sponsored by Pioneer Connect, a member of NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association.
- Applicant must be a member or an immediate relative of someone who is a participating member of Pioneer Connect (parent/grandparent)
- Your primary place of residence must be located within the Pioneer Connect serving area

Membership confirmed and signed by Pioneer Connect by February 9, 2026
Applications due to FRS February 14, 2026.
Youth Tour
Every year, Pioneer Connect selects two high-school students from our service area to join the Foundation for Rural Service (FRS) Youth Tour in Washington, D.C., a four-day, all-expense-paid experience that blends leadership, history, and technology. The trip takes you to landmarks like the U.S. Capitol and major memorials, while also offering an inside look at the telecommunications industry and how it supports rural communities. We’re excited to invest in our future leaders — apply today and see yourself in the nation’s capital as a Pioneer ambassador.
