Press Releases

Philomath, OR. — Do you know of a vital community-based project happening in the Pioneer Connect service area? It might be a perfect candidate for a Community Grant of up to $5,000, thanks to a partnership between Pioneer Connect and The Foundation for Rural Service.

This program identifies and supports vital projects that build and sustain a high quality of life in communities from the Mid-Willamette Valley to the Central Oregon Coast. The four eligible categories include business and economic development, community development, education, and telecommunications applications.

Applicants can submit grant requests up to $5,000. Ten percent of the total grant will come from Pioneer Connect, which will be the applicant’s sponsor in coordination with The Foundation for Rural Service. Applications must be received by Pioneer before August 31st, 2024. Awardees will be announced in late 2024.

This program allows community projects to receive vital funding and appreciation on a national stage. As our communities strive for new growth, this opportunity has never been more important. Pioneer Connect is eager to give back to the communities it has called home for 70+ years, as community has always been at the heart of the Cooperative’s mission.
