Our difference
When you sign up for service, you’re not just getting rock-solid internet (and more). You’re becoming a member and part-owner of Pioneer.

Membership matters
When you become a Pioneer, you join us on our mission to serve our community, in every sense of the word. From investing in extensive fiber network upgrades to bring you the best internet experience possible, to giving grants, volunteering, and giving back to local organizations and causes, everything we do to make our home great is made possible by you. Thank you! đź’š
Reasons to become a Pioneer
Local business, local support
When you call in, you’re talking to a fellow Oregonian, here to help. And when you need on-site support, we’ll be there fast—because our people are just a short drive away.
Grow your community
Together, we can give our neighbors the tools they need to live their best, connected life. From bringing fiber to underserved areas to making our service more reliable, your support helps us meet our community’s needs today and tomorrow.
Make a difference
We wouldn’t be here without our members. So we are truly, 100% here for you. Every year, we offer scholarships, small business grants, and get involved in the community, because we want to help our home and our neighbors flourish.
What is a cooperative?
Cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies supported by the membership.
Open & Voluntary Membership
Membership is open to all persons who can reasonably use its services and stand willing to accept the responsibilities. Regardless of race, religion, gender, or economic circumstances.
Democratic
Member Control
Cooperatives are democratic organizations controlled by their members, who actively participate in setting policies and making decisions.
Members’ Economic Participation
Members contribute equitably to, and democratically control, the capital of their cooperative. At least part of that capital remains the common property of the cooperative.
Cooperation Among Cooperatives
By working together,
cooperatives improve
services, bolster local economies, and deal more effectively with social and community needs.
Education, Training, & Information
Education and training for members, elected representatives (directors/trustees), CEOs, and employees help them effectively contribute to the development of their cooperative.
Autonomy &
Independence
Cooperatives are autonomous, self-help organizations, controlled by their members, regardless of any agreements they may enter with other organizations.
Concern For Community
Cooperatives work for the sustainable development of their communities through policies supported by the membership.

Capital Credits
Capital credits are a way for our members to share in the our success. When we earn a profit, a portion of that profit is allocated to our members based on usage, all these credits are held for our members. Over time, as the cooperative’s financial health allows, capital credits may be returned to members as a refund.
